he Trail-Running Resort of Pays de Saint-Jean de Monts Vendée Océan" is already engaged in a process that respects its exceptional environment and its playground. With the ISO 14001 label, the territory also involves the tourism professionals of the destination and the community.
The destination is therefore naturally involved in the Station Respect programme.
The actions carried out in the area :
- Transport : find all the access information to facilitate your arrival by soft or shared transport to the Trail Station of the Pays de Saint-Jean de Monts Vendée Océan. To get around the resort, cycle tracks have been created. The coastal shuttle bus takes the public to the beaches. The destination has been awarded the "Accueil vélo" label for gentle travel, particularly by bicycle.
- Local and sustainable initiatives : we have designed for you a range of courses and holidays that specifically promote local people and products. The area is also committed to promoting environmentally-friendly activities. A label of Montois cuisine allows to promote local cuisine and short circuit.
- Marking : particular attention is paid to the marking of the routes and paths. A partnership with the ONF has been set up to provide markers in sensitive areas. The ONF is therefore in charge of signposting: installation of signposting and use of eco-responsible signposting.
Waste: sorting bins are available, particularly on the seafront, a sensitive and fragile area. Waste collection days are already organised by the St Jean des Monts nautical base.
- Disability / Social : the resort is sensitive to the accessibility of its courses for people with disabilities. A PRM course is accessible in the forest. and The participation of joëlettes in race and event organisations is encouraged.
Other projects are currently being finalised at the Resort, we will not fail to inform you of them as soon as they are activated! The Respect Resort Programme is a real continuous improvement approach to progress in the themes and actions proposed.
