The route begins with a gradual ascent through the Serrat de les Pedregoses, the Sierra del Joncar and the Sierra de Sant Marc for 5 km and 880 m from D+ to Sant Marc de Brocà.
Returning by the same ascent path to Sant Marc to the Bassa de Tarnes, the route turns north to continue to Collada Grossa and begin the descent path to Bagà.
Passing through the Mala and Paller de Dalt canals, the path follows the western slope of the Serrat del Joncar to continue on the same path used for the ascent.
The descent from Collada Grossa to Baga is 5 km long with 700 m of D- and has an average slope of about 14%.
This route is characterised by the use of paths between the leafy forests of the Serrat del Joncar and the Sierra de Sant Marc. The view of the Sierra de Ensija, Pedraforca and Sierra del Cadi from Sant Marc compensated for the climb.
This itinerary has two characteristics to keep in mind.
1 - Before reaching km 5 of the route, from the beginning, the route climbs southeast to the church of Sant Marc. Once there, the downhill path coincides with the ascent path used to reach the church of Sant Marc. Once the descent of the church has begun, the route continues northwards towards Collada Grossa.
2 - The descent route of the Collada del Joncar fully coincides with the route used to climb to the same point.t.
