Par les routes suspendues de l’Ois...

Starting from Bourg d'Oisans, take the D1091 towards Rochetaillée, where the cycling fun and wonderful views commence. Turn right towards Allemond and then right again onto the D44 for the long climb up to Villard-Reculas (use a low gear ratio to ensure you enjoy the wonderful scenery). After Villard-Reculas, take the only road available, the D211b, to the village of Huez, or else carry on up to Alpe d'Huez (if your legs and heart can take it!). If not, freewheel down to La Garde-en-Oisans on the D211 and turn left onto the D211a to Le Freney-d'Oisans via Armentier, Auris-en-Oisans and Les Châtains. Once in Le Freney-d'Oisans, you can either take a 2km detour up to the Chambon dam, or else ride back down to Bourg d'Oisans on the D1091.
