WARNING: This course is only open in winter. Be equipped as such. Depending on the conditions on the ground, it may be closed on the application and on the Trail Station site for safety reasons: its route passes close to a possible avalanche path between the Casse and the Parcher at any time of the winter, and even in good weather conditions.

For your own safety, you must inquire about the real time conditions of the trail at the Nordic chalet of Vallouise (Tel : 04 92 23 53 47 ; Open from 9am to 4pm until 8/2/19 and from 9/2/19 from 9am to 5pm until the closing date following the snowfall).

We decline all responsibility towards the users in case of accident, this itinerary is not secured. Only the Nordic area of Vallouise is authorized to open or not the route according to the snow conditions and this during its opening hours.

 

From Vallouise, the warm-up takes place in the meadows behind the cemetery and then you climb to the upper part of La Casse: nice view of the Vallouise plain and the Bans massif. Afterwards, a path crosses towards the top of the Champarie, then you go back down towards the big Parcher and the small Parcher to reach then La Casse and the starting point.
