Rue Thiau, 62380 SENINGHEM
Seninghem is a French municipality located in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region.
Seninghem's name is of Germanic origin. It means: place of residence of the people of Sino; patronymic of the Frankish chief who occupied this territory.
The village of Seninghem offers you a part of the history from before Christ to the present day. The most interesting thing to see is the village church: its particularity is the presence of two magnificent porches with triangular pediment dating from 1751.
There are also 2 chapels on the parish: Notre Dame des Ardents built in 1604 and Notre Dame des Fièvres located on rue Paul Lefrançois, built in 1821 and restored in 2000 by volunteers from the village.
In addition, the village is crossed by the "Water urn" which has its source in Coulomby. Legend has it that one election night, disgruntled voters threw the urn into the river, hence its name Urn in the water!
The calm and serenity of Seninghem offers an ideal place to relax.
