Bevons is, with Curel, the only municipality in the Jabron valley whose terroir - long associated with that of Valbelle - does not have access to the crest of Lure. Located in the Adret, it shares with its neighbours the quality of presenting an exceptional panoramic view of the Valbelle circus and the Lure chain.

Its territory extends from the Jabron to the ridge along the Rocher de Pierre Impie (1,091 m), which is crossed by three traditional routes, at the steps of Essaillon, Saint-Pensier and Peynier. The old village has disappeared in favour of bastides and isolated farms; only the medieval church, restructured in the 17th century, dedicated to Saints Gervais and Protais (extract from "La Montagne de Lure" - Edition Alpes de Lumière) remains in memory.
