Cave Bear Museum

Come inside the cave…. Darkness and diffuse lights, coolness, rock walls and the caves’ ground have been recreated to maintain the illusion to enter into the underground world of the cave bears. The ground is covered in bones and makes the visitor dive into a universe where imagination is the most important thing. For the time of the visit they will become the scientists who made the excavations in the bears’cave. They will be speleologist, paleontologist and more… A sharing of knowledges both interactive and fun. Fourteen interactive tables bound the visitor route in the museum. Educational and fun, they explain the characteristics of the cave bear and its environment. The manipulations make the visitor understand the different scientific processes used. A 3D movie….A projection room and a big screen for a 3 D movie, thanks to weird glasses, relive an exceptional human and scientific adventure. Continue your visit and enjoy all the museum outdoor facilities: a discovery path, a playground and a picnic area. Group ( 20 people minimum) : free tour or guided tour all year on reservation only. School: -Guided educational tours and activities all year on reservation only. -prehistorical group work (painting, engraving, adornment, clay)
