Marking is an important point in setting up Trail / Hiking routes.
To help you find your way around, here are the different types of markings (red and green colour code) that you will find on the routes:
Beacons on poles: (wood, signage...)
Beacons on trees:
Workshop Marking :
After having marked out more than 200 km of routes in 2017, the municipality of Ailly sur Noye carries out regular monitoring and maintenance throughout the year.
Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to monitor so many km on a daily basis and we have had to deal with incivilities of malicious people who had the pleasure of practising "untagging"...
Fortunately, if you encounter this case a solution exists: the Trail station application! You can first load the route you want to take, and start GPS tracking when you encounter a guidance problem.
For more information on the Trail Station application, click here.
Also, in order for the municipality to be the most responsive and efficient, you can send us comments on any anomalies and/or difficulties encountered on the marking. (with photo and mileage if possible)
