800 years ago, on the night of 1219, September 14th to 15th, the dam holding the St-Laurent waters broke up. A devastating stream destroyed everything on its way down and led to a major flood in Grenoble. This exhibition redraws the lake's history, but also the ones before and after the break-up, from 1219 until 18th century. Left behind dwellers' claims led to never-ending trials with testimonial records held by the Isère departmental archives. The Vieille-Morte swamp ends now the Oisans' plain history, which started 30 000 years ago
