Starting from the honey farm, the Safari begins with a history walk to compare our social species with those of insects. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the gardens of the Glière, where the educational beehives are located (dry toilets available on site). The garden welcoming visitors is run on permaculture principles and demonstrates the transversal nature of a beekeeper's work. The demonstration includes a full presentation of the insects, including their history, role and way of working, together with an opportunity to discover the resulting produce. Glazed hives and the protective gear supplied enable visitors to take a close look at bee colonies. Visitors are accompanied by a trek leader. Equipment: long trousers and closed walking shoes
