You leave on a false flat by the road going up towards Perquelin. At the Pont du Giclard, you leave the road to take the main ascent (about 600m of difference in altitude) to the Col des Ayes, at the foot of the Dent de Crolles.
A short descent takes you to the Col du Coq, by road, before a slight ascent to Pré Giclas. You then descend through the forest of the Océpée, which you continue to walk along hilly paths on the heights of the hamlets of Saint-Hugues. A last descent along the Dead Guiers, to finish the last 800 meters of your route by the beginning of the Vertical Kilometer.

Sensitive Natural Area of the Col du Coq, you are in a Sensitive Natural Area, respect the site and its regulations:
Dogs are not allowed even on a leash
Do not throw garbage away
Do not make fires
Do not collect plants.
Through our practice, it is essential to respect the work of farmers, other operators and owners who welcome us on their land:
Do not cut routes across the prairies (nor picnic or play ball, etc.) in what are known as forage harvesting areas,
To prevent herds from escaping, close all electric fences tightly (and do not damage them),
Also, don't disturb the herds, greet the people you meet with a friendly "hello", and of course bring back all your garbage! Do not cut routes across the prairies, do not picnic either!
