You start on a false flat on the road going up towards Perquelin to the Pont du Giclard where you take the path from the ascent (nearly 600m of altitude difference) to the Col des Ayes, at the foot of the Dent de Crolles. After a short descent on the Col du Coq, by road, you take the direction of the Emeindra mountain pastures by walking between some forest and ridge passages, especially at the Col de la Faita. At the level of the Alpage de l'Emeindra, the path is not very marked at this point, a post of the PDIPR invites you to go to the right towards the Habert de Chamechaude, cross the meadow and go down to the chalet de l'Emeindra.
After crossing the mountain pasture you arrive at the foot of a steep slope, it leads you to the Habert de Chamechaude at the foot of the Chamechaude cliffs, which you will walk around to climb up its western slope. Access to the final summit is by a few cables. You are on the highest peak of Chartreuse (2082m). The descending return to Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse is pleasant, in the forest. Below the Bachassons hut, take the path that goes straight down in front of you, it leads to the Fontenil where you join on a big track course 8.
A last small climb towards the finish from the Diat leisure centre along the Guiers Mort.

Sensitive Natural Area of the Col du Coq
At Kilometre 4, you enter a Sensitive Natural Space, respect the site and its regulations:
Dogs are not allowed even on a leash
Do not throw garbage away
Do not make fires
Do not collect plants.
Through our practice, it is essential to respect the work of farmers, other operators and owners who welcome us on their land:
So that the herds do not escape, close all electric fences tightly and do not damage them!
Also, don't disturb the herds, greet the people you meet with a friendly "hello", and of course bring back all your garbage! Do not cut routes across the prairies, do not picnic either!
