In a 4-5 hour period, come and discover the pleasures of ski touring on the Puigmal massif with Alain Place, local high mountain guide!
Programme of the day:
- Discovery of the equipment: clothing, equipment, making a backpack, precautions for use...
- Practise : Use of specific equipment (putting on and taking off sealskins, climbing wedges, knives...), use of avalanche victim detectors (DVA), explanation and practice of basic notions on the way up and down.
- Have fun ! (because that's what ski touring is all about).
Group limited to a maximum of 5 participants
Duration: 4-5h (return between 13h and 14h)
Material to be provided :
Clothing adapted to the mountains in winter (ski clothing).
Drink (1L of water) and snacks (cereal bars, dried fruit)
Sunglasses
sun cream
Gloves
Bonnet
Helmet
rucksack from 20 to 35L equipped for carrying skis
Planned itinerary: climb up the Aiguaneix valley to reach the summit (or shoulder) of Puigmal de Llo before starting the descent on the southern slopes*.
Meeting on Sunday 27 December 2020 at 8.30 am at the UDSIS centre in Cotzé.
Condition to take part in this outing: to know how to ski on all types of snow.
Price: 49€/person, without equipment hire (the loan of the safety packs - DVA, shovel, probe is included in the price)
